Background and Analysis:
Commissioners returned completed rubrics to staff in advance of the January 8 meeting but were unable to make a recommendation due to lack of a quorum.
Currently the Arts Commission has three vacancies coming up when terms end in March. There are 18 applications to fill those positions. The Community Livability and Public Safety Committee has requested five to seven ranked applications to be recommended by the Arts Commission for consideration. Commissioners are asked to provide their recommendation by February 13.
Climate Analysis:
Recommendation of new Arts Commissioner candidates will not positively or negatively impact climate and the environment.
Equity Analysis:
Applications are redacted and referred to by number to make the process more objective.
