Background and Analysis:
On August 11, Arts Commission members reviewed the proposed designs for adherence to selection criteria, and unanimously approved moving the submissions forward to City Council for final approval. Once approved by City Council, the images will be available for public vote. The top 10 vote recipients in each category will be reprinted on vinyl and installed on the traffic boxes in Olympia’s eastside. The wraps are expected to last for several years.

The images will be made available for public vote on the City’s Facebook page and at The Olympia Center. The last time this project happened, 26,048 votes were received.
Options:
1. Move to approve 103 proposals for public vote.
2. Do not approve some or all of the proposed designs.

Artist Honoraria: $500
Printing and installation: $340
Total costs per site: $840
