Background and Analysis:
The City of Olympia, The Bridge Music Project and PARC Foundation of Thurston County collaborated to launch Arts Interventions to inform the Facility Design Phase component of the multi-year plan to transform the Olympia Armory into a Creative Campus. The purpose of the project was to engage artists, culture bearers, and a youth action council to lead in reimagining possible uses of the space through temporary art installations and creative pop-up projects to inform facility design. Nine projects were selected through a public call and took place during the month of July 2023 representing a wide range of art forms and experiences.
Climate Analysis:
The Art Intervention project did not markedly contribute to nor prevent greenhouse gas emissions.
