Background and Analysis:

As of December 31, 2024, the terms of three seated PBIA Board members expired including Jacob David, Alden Davis, and Monique Ossa. Typically, board member elections are held each fall to fill upcoming vacancies; however, this year’s elections were delayed due to administrative staff turnover at the City of Olympia. The Board may appoint members to fill vacated seats that have not yet expired, specifically the positions previously held by Kyle Radanovic and Shannon Tiegs (both terms ending 12/31/25). A quorum of five or more active members is required to make these appointments. The third former board member may seek election to a new term but cannot be reappointed. The Board may move forward with appointing two members to fill the current vacancies through 2025.
