Background and Analysis:
A note regarding this amendment: Amendment No. 1 to the City's agreement with Berger Partnership for Phase 1 design services for Yelm Highway Community Park, presented at the March 17, 2026 Council meeting, should have totaled $204,216.06 and included an exhibit outlining additional tasks.
An earlier draft was inadvertently attached to the staff report and subsequently executed, reflecting only $18,425 for limited work, whereas the staff report correctly identified the full amount.
Because Amendment No. 1 has been finalized, staff is bringing Amendment No. 2 to address the remaining scope and funding. Amendment No. 2 adds $185,791.06, bringing the total to $204,216.06, with Exhibit A2 detailing the required design and permitting tasks.
The Yelm Highway Community Park (recently officially named Jolene Unsoeld Community Park) project is completing its final steps prior to construction. The amendment to this contract is to complete final work associated with final design documents, permitting requirements and bid documents preparation. Phase 1 park improvements include:
