Background and Analysis:
The Community Livability and Public Safety Committee interviewed candidates for vacancies on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) at its March 12, 2025, special meeting and recommends the following appointments to fill vacancies: Heather Moline to Position #1, with a term ending March 31, 2028; Izi LeMay to Position #6, with a term ending March 31, 2028; and Jonathan Hutton to Position #7, with a term ending March 31, 2026. The BPAC chair joined the Committee for the interview.

Residents serve on Advisory Committees to share their opinions and perspectives, study issues, and develop recommendations in a focused small group in order to provide judicious advice from a community member's perspective to the Olympia City.

Climate Analysis:

The board and commission recruitment process is an opportunity to reduce disparities in participation among marginalized communities in City of Olympia process and decisions.
