Approval of Driveway Easement for the 18th Avenue Roundabout

Issue:

The City needs to execute final documents to grant a driveway easement to a property owner adjacent to the new roundabout at the intersection of 18^th Avenue and Hoffman Road.

Move to authorize the City Manager to sign the Ingress/Egress Easement and

Maintenance Agreement

Background and Analysis:

Construction of the roundabout at the intersection of 18^th Avenue and Hoffman Road made the existing driveway to 3330 18^th Avenue hazardous. During design, the project team worked with the property owners to provide safe access to their home.  

Execution of this Ingress/Egress Easement and Maintenance Agreement is the final step in meeting our commitments to the property owners. It will give them safe access across a portion of City-owned property. The property owners have signed this agreement.

Options:

1.      Authorize the City Manager to sign the Right-of -Way documents.

2.      Direct staff to amend the documents.
