Committee Recommendation:
Approve the General Government Committee Work Plan for the remainder of the year.
City Manager Recommendation:
Move to approve the revised work plan as recommended by the General Government Committee.

Issue:
The General Government Committee has proposed an updated work plan for the remainder of 2015 and seeks Council approval of it.

Background and Analysis:
On the initial 2015 Committee work plan, the meetings for August through December were left open for issues referred during 2015 or for follow up and updates on previously discussed topics. City staff updated the work plan for the remainder of the year and took it to the September 16 General Government Committee for discussion.
The General Government Committee requested the following changes to the work plan:
• Moving the economic development work plan, Council salary and health benefit comparisons from the October to the November meeting.
• Moving the Council retreat facilitator and advisory board training needs to October.
• Adding a draft retreat agenda, new Councilmember orientation and advisory board recruitment to the October meeting.
