A representative from Department of Commerce will provide a briefing regarding comprehensive planning and requirements of the Growth Mangagement Act (GMA).

Background and Analysis:
The Planning Commission received public comment that Olympia's draft Comprehensive Plan Update may not meet GMA requirements. In response, they requested more information from Commerce staff, who administer the GMA. The Commission will hear a brief presentation from Mr. Bauer regarding the role of Washington Department of Commerce, GMA, and requirements for periodic updates of comprehensive plans. Mr. Bauer has indicated he will leave time to respond to questions from the Commission.
