Background and Analysis:
The purpose of the SEEK Fund is to increase access to quality outdoor programming for youth and communities who have historically been underserved and who have been most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Summer Kids in Parks Program (SKIPP) Summer Lunch Program - $5,784
SKIPP is a long-standing free summer program for anyone in the community ages 6-12. Participants enjoy a free lunch (in partnership with OSD) then experience outside games, walking field trips, environmental education, bicycle and pedestrian safety training, gardening and more. The SEEK funding allows us to hire on two additional staff at the SKIPP locations, so we are able to serve more children through the program.

SEEK Outdoor Program - $11,539
Working with Marshall Middle School we will be taking a group of youth (ages 11-14) on afterschool trips and a few Saturday field trips. Participants will experience outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, rock climbing (indoor) and skateboarding.
