Committee Recommendation:
The Committee of the Chairs discussed the agenda and logistics for the Mid-Year City Council Retreat on April 14, 2024.

City Manager Recommendation:
Move to approve the proposed upcoming mid-year retreat details including location, agenda, and facilitator.

Background and Analysis:
The Council holds a mid-year retreat to address timely issues, review progress on major initiatives, and check-in on other matters as determined by the City Council.

At its January 2024 retreat, the City Council set Saturday, June 14 as the date for their mid-year retreat. It is suggested that the retreat take place in Council Chambers.

It is recommended that Amy Leneker facilitate the retreat. The suggested agenda topics are Equity Framework Training, Comprehensive Plan, 2024 Work Plan Update and budget.

Climate Analysis:
This item does not have a direct effect on climate concerns, however discussions at the retreat will include discussion regarding the City work plan, that includes work around the City's climate goals.

Equity Analysis:
This item does not have a direct effect on equity concerns, however discussions regarding the City's Equity Framework will occur at the retreat.

Neighborhood/Community Interests (if known):
The mid-year retreat is a time for the City Council to reflect on the progress of work they planned at their January retreat, discuss priorities and receive updates from staff on City initiatives. The topics on the agenda reflect issues, priorities and work methods that give insight on how the City Council is working to make progress on issues of importance to the community.
