Background and Analysis:
The Social Justice & Equity Commission's Work Plan includes developing a recommendation for City Council's consideration on community involvement in law enforcement. A subcommittee of the Commission has been established to participate in the engagement and design process and develop a draft recommendation for the full Commission to review and then forward to the City Council for consideration.
The purpose of this agenda item is to provide the Commission with an update on the process, including a high-level overview of early findings from the community survey that closed on March 11 and a preview of the second and final large group work session on Saturday, April 13.
Climate Analysis:
This project is not expected to have an impact on greenhouse gas emissions.
