Background and Analysis:
In 2006, the City completed the Boulevard Road Corridor Study. The study recommended constructing roundabouts at three intersections to reduce congestion and improve safety for people walking, biking, taking transit, and driving.
The City built the first roundabout at Log Cabin Road in 2010. We completed the second at 22nd Avenue in 2014. This project will construct the third at Morse-Merryman Road.
In addition to the roundabout, the project will include:
? A sidewalk on both sides of the roadway;
? Bike lanes on both sides of the street;
? Ornamental streetlights;
? New water mains;
? Stormwater system improvements, including a new storm pond; and
? Undergrounding all existing power pole-mounted private utilities.

Completing this project will significantly improve safety and mobility along the corridor.
Construction activities will have a significant impact on a very busy intersection. The contractor and City staff will provide alternative route information throughout construction.
