Background and Analysis:
Olympia’s Transportation Master Plan (TMP) helps us move closer to the Comprehensive Plan’s vision. It outlines the projects we need to build to make Olympia a walk-, roll-, bike-, and transit-friendly place, and it shows how much of that infrastructure we can build in 20 years, assuming the City continues to build at about the same pace as it has historically.
Each year, the BPAC reviews the City’s Capital Facilities Plan (CFP). As many of the projects in the CFP come from the master plan, understanding it will help members review the CFP.
Staff have attached a link to the TMP if you’d like to review it before the meeting, but we do not expect you to. We will give an overview of it during the meeting and go into more detail on the projects listed in chapter four.
