Background and Analysis:
The Northeast Neighborhood Association (NENA) wishes to encourage bicyclists to use Puget Street and the proposed Puget Pathway north of San Francisco Avenue instead of Bethel Street. City staff created three treatment options for the intersection of Puget Street and San Francisco Avenue. This is a continuation of the discussion from the July meeting, in which staff committed to bring some options forward. NENA expressed support for Option 2b. Staff identified that this option could create conflicts between motor vehicles traveling straight on Puget and bicyclists turning left onto San Francisco.
