Issue:
Should the City Council adopt a resolution declaring Inauguration Day, January 16, 2013, a "city day of celebration," suspending parking fees on January 16, 2013, and encouraging the Washington State Inaugural Ball Committee to hold the Governor's Inaugural Ball at the Washington State Capitol?

Move to adopt a Resolution declaring Inauguration Day, January 16, 2013, a "city day of celebration," suspending parking fees on January 16, 2013, and encouraging the Washington State Inaugural Ball Committee to hold the Governor's Inaugural Ball at the Washington State Capitol.

Background and Analysis:
At the November 5, 2012, City Council meeting, Councilmember Jim Cooper stated that he would like to work with the City Attorney to bring forward a resolution concerning Inauguration Day 2013 and the venue for the Governor's Inaugural Ball.  Council agreed to add the resolution to its November 13, 2012 agenda.
 
The proposed resolution declares January 16, 2013, a "city day of celebration," suspends parking fees on January 16, 2013, and encourages the Washington State Inaugural Ball Committee to hold the Governor's Inaugural Ball at the State Capitol on the Capitol Campus.
