Issue:
The public comment deadline was 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5. Council scheduled time at this meeting to receive the comments and possibly provide direction for its February 26 deliberation.

Background and Analysis:
City staff released the public hearing draft for review on January 8, 2013.  City Council conducted a public hearing on January 22, 2013.  City Council left the record open for written comment until Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.
 
The record, including comments received by the deadline, is being compiled and posted on the City's website. A print binder of the record is also being assembled and will be available for Councilmember review in the Council office.  Councilmembers will be notified by email when the record is complete and ready for review.
 
City staff will continue to analyze the written comments and the public testimony provided on January 22, 2013 and provide City Council with a summary and options for consideration on February 26, 2013.  A website link to the record will be included in the published staff report for the February 26 meeting and a link provided from the City's website home page.

The neighborhood and community have been actively engaged in the Shoreline Master Program update.
