Background and Analysis:
The Planning Commission holds an annual retreat, and this year decided to take a tour of Olympia's proposed Neighborhood Center areas. Some background information is included in this packet. Additional Materials, including facts about each area, will be distributed on the day of the tour.

For the Public:
The tour is open to the public; however due to City of Olympia insurance policies, the public must provide their own transportation. The Commission will meet on the front steps of City Hall at 9:00 AM, and embark soon thereafter. To avoid “meeting” outside an open public meeting, at no time will a quorum of Commissioners travel together in a vehicle.

A map and itinerary are included as Attachments 1 & 2; to confirm the group's location at any time, please call the staff contact at the number listed above. To facilitate self-guided tours for those who may be interested, materials that will be distributed on the day of the tour will be posted to the online calendar, under “Meeting Details,” the day before the tour.

Financial Impact:
Approximately $200 (gas and lunch.) Included in base budget.
