Issue:
The Olympia Heritage Commission will review and select award recipient(s) for the 2014 Historic Preservation Award.
Background and Analysis:
As part of national Historic Preservation Month events, the Olympia Heritage Commission reviews and selects one or more recipients for the 2014 Historic Preservation Award, which honors the people and projects which demonstrate excellence in historic preservation in Olympia.
Honorees are presented with an award at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Olympia City Council. This year’s award(s) will be presented at the May 27, 2014 City Council meeting.
Tonight the Heritage Commission will review this year’s nominations for the award and select one or more recipients. One application has been received at time of posting and is attached. Additional nominations may be discussed at the meeting if desired by Commission members.
