Background:
Based on Civil Service Rule V, Registers, Initial Eligibility Lists, initial eligibility lists were established with candidates who passed the written and CPAT physical exam administered by Public Safety Testing. These 53 candidates were invited to the Phase 1 suitability assessment. Of those 53, 15 candidates participated in the phase 1 suitability assessment, and 11 passed. Those 11 candidates were invited to oral interviews, 9 attended interviews and 6 successfully passed the oral interviews.
Two candidates were female and 51 candidates were male. One candidate was Hispanic/Latino, forty-nine candidates were White/Caucasian, one candidate was two or more races and two candidates were unknown. The interview panel consisted of OFD Captain Todd Carson, OFD Lieutenant Matt Gantenbein, Lacey Fire District 3 Firefighter Keri Hall, and OFD Lieutenant Jason Waters.
Findings:
Six candidates passed the written exam, physical ability test, phase 1 suitability assessment and oral interview and have been placed on the register in accordance with their scores. Final ranking scores range from 79.67%--88.72%.
