Background
To provide consistency between our contract and actual practice OFD is requesting to change the title of the Medical Services Officer to Captain - Medical Services Officer. The Union and Executive management is in agreement with the proposed title change. There are no cost implications as this change is in title only and no change in salary will apply. This change applies to one FTE.
Findings:
The proposed classification title change reflects the department’s operational needs to better accomplish the department’s mission by providing consistency between contracts.
