Roger Horn, James Reddick and Kelly Wood were recommended for appointment to the citizen-at-large positions by the General Government Committee. Barbara Benson and Candace Jacobs were recommended for appointment by Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee.

Background and Analysis:
Section 4.1.3 of the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Olympia and the Olympia Metropolitan Park District (OMPD) states "The OMPD Board shall create an advisory committee of at least five (5) persons, who shall be Olympia residents, to advise the City and the OMPD Board. The persons chosen for service on the advisory committee shall be knowledgeable about parks budgeting and finance, park acquisitions, development, maintenance, park standards, and funding levels. Service on the committee shall be for a four (4) year term."
The Advisory Committee Charter adopted by the OMPD board on September 13, 2016 states that two of the members shall be appointed by the City's Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC) and the three other members shall be citizens-at-large.
