Background

Currently there is one Lieutenant and two Fire Inspector/Firefighters working in fire prevention.  It is the desire of the Fire department to update the classification of the Fire Inspector/Firefighter classification to Fire Prevention Officer.

 

Findings:

The proposed classification change reflects the department’s operational needs to accurately reflect the work being performed and the requirements of the position in the classification.  This change would affect the title of three employees.
