Issue:
Continuing the discussion to develop the Heritage Commission’s proposed 2018 Work Plan.

Background and Analysis:
The Commission began reviewing the approved 2017 Work Plan at its October 25, 2017 meeting and provided staff with comments and suggested alterations to be included in next year’s plan. Ms. Sadlier agreed to prepare a draft 2018 Work Plan using their feedback.
The Commission will review this first draft (Attachments 1 & 2) and recommend any changes to be included in the final version of the proposed 2018 Work Plan. The proposed plan will be presented to Olympia City Council for approval in March 2018.
Note that the two attachments to this report contain the same content in different formats. Attachment 1 shows the draft with the “track changes” function turned on so Commissioners can see where the proposed changes are. Attachment 2 presents the draft in a clean copy, with the proposed changes included (“track changes accepted”).
With the work plan items in mind, the discussion will conclude by considering options for the February 2018 Heritage Commission retreat.
