Issue:
The board will consider whether or not to change the policies and procedures language so LEOFF 1 firefighter member’s board and staff are able to approve hearing aid requests that have not used EPIC providers.

Background:
The board will decide whether or not to change LEOFF 1 Firefighter member’s policies and procedures by adding the following language:
“LEOFF I Firefighters may submit hearing aid claims without going through EPIC hearing. They must follow the regular procedures that have been approved by the LEOFF board.”
