Background
The fire department has requested a fire lieutenant promotional register. The department anticipates filling at least two vacancies in 2018.
The proposed testing process includes an assessment center using the services of Public Safety Testing to conduct an exam consisting of a written exam, tactical exercise, oral presentation, coaching/counseling exercise, administrative scenarios. The minimum passing score for the dimensions evaluated is 70%, and the register rank will be determined by the assessment center percentage.
Findings:
A Fire Lieutenant Promotional Register is needed to fill two vacancies in the fire department. The proposed testing plan will evaluate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of candidates to perform the classification.
