The Clash used music to bring awareness to important issues and highlight the ways that music can bring people together to affect positive change. Their enduring power can be tied directly to the strength of the messages in their music. International Clash Day celebrates the band's message of anti-hate, anti-fear, and pro-multi-culturalism, unity, and tolerance.
The musical, cultural, and political impact of The Clash continues to inspire countless bands, artists and individuals to use music as a tool for social change.
