Background and Analysis:
Growing II was part of the 2017/2018 Percival Plinth Project. The artist, Jesse Swickard, approached staff about donating the sculpture to the City at the conclusion of the exhibition. The Commission recommendation will go to the City Manager and be presented to City Council as an ordinance authorizing acceptance of the donation. The dimensions of the steel sculpture are 10’ x 4’ x 3’ and the work is valued at $7500.00.
