Background and Analysis:

At its May 22, 2018, meeting, the City Council approved a list of proposed changes to the Advisory Board and Commission process, as recommended by the General Government Committee.  Among the changes adopted was the establishment of term limits on appointments to nearly all boards and commissions.  Specifically, no more than three full terms, 9 years on any specific board or committee (except the Design Review Board).

 

As the 2019 recruitment period nears, Staff will brief the Committee on steps being taken to roll out the new term limits to currently serving board and commission members.
