Title

BUILDING PERMIT REVIEW: Jacqueline Brown, 2403 Franklin St SE (CPD 18-2884)

Report

Issue:

The project proposal consists of an expansion of the master bedroom approximately 82 sq. ft. on the south side of the building, removal and replacement of a 192 sq.ft. 24 inch tall deck on the west side of the home, and siding replacement to the chimney.

The home’s exterior has been upgraded/altered in the past with the installation of vinyl windows and new siding approximately 15 years ago. The intent of the improvements is to match the style of the existing structure with matching roof and lines, and install the original window trim around new vinyl windows. Beveled cedar siding will be installed on the new addition and in general areas of repair.

Constructed in 1923, the Craftsman/Bungalow style home is a contributing property in the South Capitol Historic District.
