Motion if Council wishes to support the measure:  Move to adopt the Resolution in Support of Initiative Measure No. 1631 charging pollution fees on sources of greenhouse gas pollutants and use the revenue to reduce pollution, promote clean energy, and address climate impacts.

 

No action is needed if Council does not wish to adopt the resolution.

The City Council requested this matter be placed on a City Council agenda so that the Council could hear from the public about the measure. 

 

Per State law, any action taken by the Council to support or oppose a ballot proposition must be done as an open public meeting with an opportunity for anyone to comment prior to Council action.
