Background:
Based on Civil Service Rule V, Registers, Initial Eligibility Lists, initial eligibility lists were established with candidates who passed the Public Safety Testing written and physical exams. Forty-nine candidates were invited to the phase 1 suitability assessment. Seventeen participated in the phase 1 suitability assessment, and six passed. Six candidates were invited to oral interviews, six participated and six successfully passed the oral interviews.
Two of the candidates were female and Forty-seven were male. Thirty-five were White/Caucasian, one was Asian/Pacific Islander, four were Hispanic/Latino, four were African American/Black and five were two or more races. The interview panel consisted of OPD Officer Mike Peters, OPD Sergeant Ryan Hirotaka, and Angela Johnson, Police Program Assistant.
Findings:
Six Candidates passed the phase 1 suitability assessment and the oral interview and have been placed on the register in accordance with scores ranging from 93.65 - 80.83.
