Background and Analysis:
This year, the City Council's General Government Committee has requested that each City advisory committee, board, or commission review new applications and recommend whom to appoint to their respective committee. Staff have redacted applicants' names, addresses, and phone numbers from the attached applications for you to review.

The BPAC has two vacancies, and the General Government Committee has asked that the BPAC forward its top four candidates for those vacancies to the General Government Committee.

Thirteen people have submitted applications for the two vacancies. BPAC Chair Brittany Yunker Carlson and Vice Chair Barb Bumann have met with BPAC staff liaison Michelle Swanson to establish an evaluation process for the review of applicants. The Chair and Vice Chair suggest that Committee Members rate each applicant on a scale of 1-5 under these criteria:

* Unique perspective
* Engagement in biking and/or walking
* Community involvement

Staff have attached an evaluation sheet for members to complete as they review the applications. However, these criteria are meant to guide the process, not limit it. If a Member supports an application for reasons not captured by the criteria, please feel free to say so during the Committee's discussion.

Please come prepared with your top four applicants.
