Background and Analysis:
On January 22, 2019 Council approved the Arts Commission's recommendation of Lin McJunkin and Milo White as public artists for the West Bay Art Crossings Project.

On March 21, the artists participated in a half day familiarization tour, meeting with the City's Historic Preservation Officer and Transportation Engineer, to better understand the site. That evening, they met with members of the NW neighborhoods - NWONA, West Bay Drive and Burbank/Elliot were specifically invited - and others in attendance, to better understand the community around the site.

The Arts Commission is conducting a public hearing to receive and collect feedback from the public regarding the West Bay Art Crossing Concept Plan in order to provide feedback to the artists and an update to City Council.

Community feedback is requested within the following framework (from recommendations of the Art Crossing report):

- How will this artwork contribute to a sense of community identity?
- How does this artwork interpret the sense of "Crossing"?
- Does the proposal incorporate place markers (vertical) and place making (ground plane)?
- Does the proposal include landscaping as an integral and supportive element?
- Are there safety concerns?
- Is the artwork durable and easy to maintain?
- How does the artwork incorporate light?
