Background and Analysis:
In 2018 Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation Department (OPARD) purchased 83 acres located at 3323 Yelm Highway for a future community park. The property is located next to a previously purchased 3.54-acre parcel also on Yelm Highway. Recently staff advertised a request for qualifications (RFQ) seeking qualifications from creative design professionals to develop a park master plan for the property. Berger Partnership has been chosen for the project. Staff will share some background on the site and preliminary ideas for creating a Yelm Highway Community Park Master Plan.
