Background and Analysis:

The Drinking Water Utility is the first workgroup citywide to implement Cityworks, a software new to the City.  The Utility is using Cityworks to manage its work and inventories. Water Resources’ plan is to have the remaining utilities start using Cityworks in 2020, including the launch of asset management and mobile applications modules. Staff will demonstrate the software and provide an overview of its capabilities.

Neighborhood/Community Interests (if known):

Cityworks helps manage workflows efficiently so that staff can respond quickly and provide value to ratepayers.

None. Briefing only.

Financial Impact:

The City has accounted for the software licensing costs within the utility budgets.
