Background and Analysis:

The Promotional Police Sergeant Register was certified on November 20^th, 2018.  One candidate remains on the register and Civil Service rules allow for extending the duration of registers for an additional year.  The police department is requesting a one year extension.  Pursuant to Civil Service Rules, the Commission may extend the register so long as it does not extend beyond the two year limit. 

Findings: 

The Olympia Police Department has requested extension of the Promotional Police Sergeant Register for an additional year pursuant to Civil Service rules.  One candidate remains on the register and would be eligible for appointment until November 20, 2020.
