Background and Analysis:
The City Council would like City Advisory Committees and Commissions to help identify candidates to interview for vacant Committee and Commission positions. The General Government Committee has asked that members screen all applicants and identify three candidates to be interviewed for each vacant position.

This agenda item is to discuss and recommend three candidates to be interviewed by the General Government Committee for one vacant Commission position. On January 13, the Commission approved the following process for selecting three candidates:
* Commissioners will review 11 candidate applications (Attachment A).
* Commissioners will use the Application Evaluation Matrix developed by General Government to individually identify their top three candidates (Attachment B).
* All Commissioners will discuss and agree to three candidates to recommend to General Government at the regular meeting on January 27.

The General Government Committee will hold candidate interviews in February, and the new Commissioner will begin their term April 1.
