Background and Analysis:

At the June 16, 2020 City Council meeting a referral was put forward to hold a Study Session to discuss the City’s approach to crowd control.  OPD staff will provide an overview of the approach and current practices related to the Department’s Crowd Control and Use of Force policies.  This will be an opportunity for the City Council and staff to ask questions, share information and discuss potential changes to policy.
