Background and Analysis:

Windows on two sides of the home were altered about 10 years ago to replace original double-hung sash with new sash that is wood inside, vinyl outside.  There is no record of a permit for that work.  A Special Valuation was received in 2003 for interior kitchen remodel.  Homeowners are seeking to continue the window treatment work on one west-facing window, two front (north) windows and two east windows, all on the second floor. The palladian windows will not be treated.

Neighborhood/Community Interests (if known):

South Capitol Neighborhood.

Options:

Offer guidance on how the proposed treatment is or is not consistent with the Standards.

Offer guidance on alternative treatment

Offer guidance on a hybrid solution for treatment
