Background
The fire department has requested a fire lieutenant promotional register. The department anticipates filling at least one vacancy in 2021.
The proposed testing process includes an assessment center using the services of Public Safety Testing to conduct an exam consisting of a written exam, tactical exercise, oral presentation, role playing exercise, administrative scenarios, and work performance rating. The minimum passing score for the dimensions evaluated is 70%, and the register rank will be determined by the assessment center percentage.
Findings:
A Fire Lieutenant Promotional Register is needed to fill a vacancy in the fire department. The proposed testing plan will evaluate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of candidates to perform the classification.
