Background and Analysis:

On January 12, 2021, City Council Approved the Concept Plan presented by Andrea Wilbur-Sigo for the Eastside St Art Crossing Project. Final design details and fabrication budget will be presented at this meeting. Upon approval, Ms. Wilbur-Sigo will begin fabrication of her project of two, 10’ cedar carvings, entitled “Unity.”

 

Neighborhood/Community Interests (if known):

The Eastside and Indian Creek Neighborhood Associations have been very involved in this project. In addition, staff has provided regular updates to the Coalition of Neighborhood Associations and the Planning Commission.

 

Options:

1)                     Approve final design details and budget for the Eastside St. Art Crossing.

2)                     Review final design details and budget for the Eastside St. Art Crossing, and provide direction to the artist to refine and return at a future meeting.

3)                     Do not approve final design details and budget.

 

Financial Impact:

$50,000 from the Municipal Art Fund.
