Background and Analysis:
The Olympia City Council’s usual procedures and practices are contained in the Council’s Guidebook. Biennially on even numbered years, or as needed, the Council’s General Government Committee reviews the Guidebook and recommends changes, if warranted.
As part of its 2021 Work Plan, the General Government Committee wanted to do a deep dive review of the Council Guidebook in preparation for further discussion of possible updates and changes during the City Council’s Mid-Year Retreat in June.
