Background and Analysis:
The Arts Commission engages in a Spring Retreat to welcome new members (Work Plan Item 1.2). In addition, they have identified the spring and fall retreats as opportunities to engage in deeper conversation around Artists at the Community Development Table training available to them.
Other items that have come up for the retreat include formalizing how Commissioners are appointed to work assignments (juries, ad hoc committees, and other invitations), Ideas to discuss include bringing back Art in Public Places and Community Events and Outreach standing committees, utilizing a spreadsheet or interest form, and expanding
Opportunities through liaisons with other boards and committees Also, considering COVID responsive art projects.
