Background and Analysis:
The City of Olympia and the Olympia Downtown Alliance work collaboratively to support and nurture a vibrant and thriving downtown. The two organizations will use this Study Session to discuss issues of mutual interest to include public safety; housing/homelessness; economic development; cleanliness/beautification and general updates. Each topic will begin with an introductory update and then will open for discussion/questions and partnership opportunities.

Downtown Olympia is South Puget Sound’s regional hub for economic and social activity. The community has a great interest in Downtown being a vibrant, attractive urban destination that is safe and welcoming for all.

1. Have a conversation regarding issues of mutual interest related to Downtown Olympia and the work of the City and Olympia Downtown Alliance.
