Background and Analysis:
The Utility Advisory Committee reviews City utility finances, capital investments, and rates annually. The UAC requested quarterly work plan items to provide financial updates for the City’s utilities.
Staff will present financial data showing actual vs. budgeted revenues and expenditures with year-to-year comparisons. Available information on utility billing delinquencies due to the COVID-19 emergency will also be provided.
Neighborhood/Community Interests:
City utilities provide essential public health services to Olympia residents.
Financial Impact:
None at this time. However, utility rates impact our community by the utility rates that customers pay.
