Each spring, the Arts Commission conducts a retreat to welcome new members and engage in deeper discussion than in a typical meeting. This retreat is noted as item 1.2 on the work plan.

Commissioners will review City processes regarding Advisory Boards and Commissions, receive a welcome from the Parks, Arts and Recreation Director and an overview of the Department’s Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (EIB) efforts. Commissioners will also engage in discussion on the work plan, the mission of the Arts Commission, and upcoming committee assignments.
