Background and Analysis:
As a response to community concerns that were raised during the November 2019 Transgender Day of Remembrance, the City Council passed Resolution M-2160 in September 2020. The Resolution recognizes injustice and harm against Black, Indigenous, People of Color Transgender and Non-binary people and adopts policies and actions to protect Transgender and Non-binary communities.
This briefing will give background on the Resolution, the goals of the resolution, and a status update of the implementation of the action steps that were included in the resolution.
