Background and Analysis:
Every year, each commission goes through a recruitment cycle. We have received applications for the two open seats. The Committee on Livability and Public Safety will interview the candidates and have final approval of which candidates get interviewed. The Commission must submit a recommendation on which candidates to interview by February 10th . This is usually done by the Co-Chairs
Climate Analysis:
This project is not expected to have an impact on greenhouse gas emissions.
Equity Analysis:
Representation on advisory commissions for the City makes a meaningful difference, especially for the Social Justice and Equity Commission. This commission’s work is primarily focused on equity and social justice and who is selected for the open seats will have an impact on the work of the commission and how that work is done.
