Background and Analysis:
On January 10, 2023 City Council approved the Arts Commission's recommendation of the Martin Way & Pacific Avenue Art Crossing Concept Plan.
Since that time, the project artists have been working on the final design details per their agreement with the City:
* Develop a final project plan, including any technical drawings and/or specifications to fully describe the project, materials, methods, and costs associated with fabrication and installation of the Artwork.
* Determine a Scope of Work and budget allocations for Phase II. Funds must cover design work, engineering, fabrication, transportation/delivery, identification plaque, electric wiring and fixtures for lighting the sculpture, landscape materials, insurance, artist's fee, travel expenses and applicable taxes.
* Consult with the City's on call Landscape Architect if recommended or required.
* Consult with City transportation and permitting staff if recommended or required.
* Determine a plan for fabrication and installation of identification plaque.
* Bring final design to Arts Commission

Equity Analysis:
Recognizing the Neighborhood Associations alone did not represent the diversity of the neighborhoods, additional community outreach brought additional voices to the project.
